COLLECTIVE

California Heritage Collective is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving, celebrating, and activating California’s rich cultural and architectural legacy. Through thoughtfully curated events, restorations of historic properties, and community-driven programming, the Collective brings history to life in a way that feels vibrant, relevant, and accessible.

At the heart of its mission is a commitment to storytelling—honoring the diverse voices, traditions, and places that have shaped California’s identity. From intimate gatherings and educational workshops to large-scale cultural events, the organization creates meaningful experiences that connect people to the past while inspiring future generations.

A cornerstone initiative includes the revival of historic spaces such as Villa Blanca Lifestyle, where heritage architecture is carefully preserved and reimagined as a setting for community, creativity, and celebration. By partnering with local artists, historians, schools, and cultural organizations, California Heritage Collective supports exhibitions, field trips, and public programs that deepen appreciation for the state’s unique history.

Through preservation, education, and elegant community engagement, California Heritage Collective ensures that California’s stories—and the spaces that hold them—continue to thrive.

Villa Blanca Lifestyle Grand Opening Gala
Hosted in support of California Heritage Collective

Villa Blanca Lifestyle proudly opens its doors with an unforgettable Grand Opening Gala—an elegant evening set within the storied walls of the 1929 Bakman House, a rare Spanish-style residence that reflects the romance and craftsmanship of early California architecture. With its original character, graceful proportions, and enduring details, the home stands as a beautiful reminder of a bygone era—one that Villa Blanca has thoughtfully revived and reimagined.

Originally built in 1929, the Bakman House embodies the charm of Old Hollywood living, where architecture was designed for both beauty and gathering. Arched doorways, textured stucco walls, and sun-washed outdoor spaces speak to a time when homes were as much about experience as they were about design. Villa Blanca Lifestyle has approached the restoration with intention—preserving the integrity of the home while enhancing it to serve as a modern venue for intimate events, cultural programming, and creative productions.

This Grand Opening Gala celebrates not only the debut of Villa Blanca Lifestyle, but the rebirth of a historic property—bringing new life to a space that once served as a private residence and now welcomes the community in a meaningful, elevated way. An event space, wedding venue, filming location and community events in one special space.

Hosted in support of California Heritage Collective, the evening underscores a shared mission: to protect, restore, and activate historic spaces across California. The Bakman House is a living example of this vision—where preservation meets purpose, and history becomes part of today’s cultural landscape.

Guests will experience the home as it was meant to be enjoyed—filled with conversation, music, and celebration—while discovering how spaces like the Bakman House can continue to inspire for generations to come.
